Various Fields, Alberta, Canada Western Canada Sedimentary Basin reserve and deliverability assessments to determine safety of supply. Independent studies to verify in-house forecasting model and to assess uncertainty in long-term deliverability security.
Reserve and deliverability study of the tight gas sands of the Alberta Deep Basin.
Evaluated the use of horizontal wells with multiple fractures for the development of low permeability gas reservoirs.
Cook Inlet, Alaska, U.S. Reviewed existing and future reserves, gas supply, export possibilities, and local demand of the Cook Inlet, Alaska. Long term potential supply for ammonia-urea production was assessed
Offshore Labrador, Canada High level economic assessment of offshore gas development
Offshore Newfoundland, Canada Assessment of Gas Reserve Potential and Exploration and Development Costs for Grand Banks
Mallik, Northern Canada Evaluation of drilling and completion options for gas hydrate deposit. Work included production testing planning, onsite supervision of the well completion and testing, and test interpretation of free gas and hydrate zone
West Pembina, Alberta, Canada Assessed and optimised ultimate gas and condensate recovery of wet gas pools. Options considered were blow down and dry gas recycling
Japan Three-stage project to assess and evaluate the gas storage potential in depleted fields. Study centred on completion and production issues of such gas storage schemes.
Foothills, Alberta, Canada Evaluated gas reserve, deliverability, development scenarios, and sensitivities to various parameters of a low permeability carbonate reservoir with analytical and numerical simulation methods
Confidential Technical study of the potential to re-inject acid gas for disposal purposes to save transmission and processing fees on a gas aggregator’s system and plant
East Lost Hills, California, U.S Reservoir simulation study to assess the range of reserves for a fractured HPHT reservoir while the discovery well was still out of control. Wellbore thermal simulations combined with a reservoir simulation model were used to analyse the drive mechanisms and forecast reserves.
Follow-up simulation studies to estimate reserves for these HPHT reservoirs.Casing and tubing stress analyses for onshore HPHT wells, equipment selection and qualification, completion fluid selection, detailed operations procedures and contingencies, well test design, and ongoing technical support and supervision of field operations for five ultra-HPHT wells (21000 ft, 18000 psi, 385oF, sour gas).
Klua, B.C., Canada Reservoir evaluation to understand water influx in complex reef front reservoir. Integrated p/z behaviour with observed gas water contact movement over time.Designs of fluids, liners, sand control, stimulation, artificial lift, and multi-lateral completion techniques. TCP perforating philosophy was also considered in one project.
Ft. Liard, Fractured Carbonate Gas Field, Northern Canada Simulated the effect of various development strategies and offtake rates on the water-gas ratio and ultimate recovery from a complex faulted and fractured carbonate reservoir with an active water drive.Prepared detailed procedures, equipment designs and test programs for a sour gas HPHT well test in a deviated well, including on-site supervision, test analysis and reporting. Prepared Well Test Manual.
Paddy Creek, Alberta, Canada Evaluated gas recycling potential of a naturally fractured carbonate reservoir using dual-porosity, compositional simulation model.
South Tambieskoye, Russia Modeled well test data to estimate reservoir permeability and performance of gas condensate producers and injectors.
Ikhil, Northern Canada Reserves estimation, well test interpretation, thermal well simulation, and completion design.
Surmont Field, Alberta, Canada A compositional model was used to simulate expected recovery of natural gas using flue gas as a displacing fluid.
San Antonio Field, Philippines Estimated most likely gas-in-place figure based on differences in extrapolated static pressure between successive shut-ins on extended production tests.Estimated size/shape of reservoir from pseudo-steady state analysis of extended drawdown period.
Cohasset-Panuke, offshore Nova Scotia, Canada Planning and supervision of 2 offshore high rate (> 50 MMscf/d) sour gas tests, including planning, detailed program preparation, offshore test supervision, and data collection and analysis.Reserves and flow assurance studies.
Various fields in Cameroon, Tunisia and China Reserves evaluation of gas condensate and multi-pool offshore gas development.Natural Gas Exploration and Natural Gas Reservoir Management.Designed, supervised, and interpreted deep (4500 m) onshore gas well tests on multiple zones using pressure operated DST tools.
